BCS

I love and hate the BCS College Football rankings right now. I love it because my beloved NC State Wolfpack is now ranked #25 in the new BCS rankings. I hate the BCS rankings because my 3rd beloved Boise State Broncos have once again been jumped, this time by TCU. Now I do wish that they would go to a playoff, just like in the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision)(Shout out to my 2nd beloved college team the Liberty Flames, winners again this week 34-24 over Presbyterian). So NCAA listen to the fans and me, because I know from the ones and ones of people who read my blog that you do to, go to a playoff and stop the controversy.

On a lighter note I learned some time last week that our Patriot Varsity and Junior Varsity will be going to Washington DC to play Banner Christian at the VERIZON CENTER!!!!!!!!!! This is where the NBA's Washington Wizards play. It will be an amazing experience to play where an NBA team plays their home games.

The Prodigal Son has Returned

Vikings fans rejoice our Prodigal Son has returned home where he belongs. Randy Moss was traded from New England back to the Vikings 5 years after the Vikings traded him to the Raiders. That was a waste for the Raiders wasn't Preacha.

Inception

Just finished watching a movie for the 2nd time. By reading the title of the entry you can probably guess what movie I just saw the movie was Inception and if you haven't seen it yet then you need to shell out (the ridiculous) $10 and go see it before it releases to DVD. The $12.25 that I spent on a Med. Popcorn and drink was ridiculous to but that is an entirely different blog post.

Welcome Back

Well we know that the summer is almost over. Soccer practice has started, Baseball is winding down, and Brett Favre is deciding on whether or not to play football again. Brett made the right decision again this year and is going to play with the Minnesota Vikings for his 20th NFL season.

Yay for you Brett Favre. I expect nothing less then a Super Bowl title. And how sweet it would be to win one in the new Cowboys Stadium (FYI I strongly dislike the Cowboys).

Very Interesting

Got this in an email last year some time and in the spirit of Easter I will post it here. Enjoy.

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin? Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this.... The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin. Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!' Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen=A0wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.. Was that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes! In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'. But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because.......... The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'

Question?

Let me ask you a question. Have you heard of the 10 commandments? Just in case you haven't the 10 commandments are what God will use to judge you when you die. Have you ever told a lie? What about have you ever stolen anything? Jesus said that if you ever looked at a women with lust then you have committed adultery in your heart. So have you looked with lust at anyone? If you answer yes to any of these questions then you have sinned against God and when you die you will go to Hell. Now God not wanting to send anyone to Hell sent his one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to live a perfect life and die for our sins. All you have to do is ask God to forgive your sins and you will be forgiven. Then you have to repent from those sins, meaning turn from them and never do them again, and put all trust in God. Then you will know that when you die God will let you into Heaven

So which way do you want to go?

"Global Warming"

Ok Al Gore where is the "Global Warming" cause I could really use some right now. For the 2nd week in a row we have had a snow storm here in VA. And whats really surprising is that Washington DC got somewhere in the 20in ballpark. Well residents and people that work in DC the snow shouldn't last long with all the hot air in the House and Senate.

A Little Depressed

I blog today kinda depressed. My beloved Minnesota Vikings lost last night in the NFC Championship game to the New Orleans Saints 31-28. They played really good, except for 5 turnovers. Brett Favre was awesome as usual, while playing on a sore leg he suffered in the 2nd half, and Adrian Peterson finally showed up again going over 100yds for the first time in what seems like forever and scored 3tds. But it was the turnovers that did them in. Thanks for a good year and maybe we will win it all next year. Now come the big question will Brett Favre retire or play or retire and the come back and play.
Only 51 days till we go to Liberty for HSPN. WHOOP WHOOP

Vikings, Chargers, and Keith Brooking

The Minnesota Vikings are in the NFC Championship thanks to Brett Favre and Sidney Rice. Favre hit Rice for 3 TD's and hit Visanthe Shianco just after the 2 minute warning, on 4th and 3, for another score and Ryan Longwell added 2 FG's for a 34-3 rout of the Dallas Cowgirls.(Excuse me Cowboys) The Chargers on the other hand lost to the Jets 17-10. Ok now to Keith Brooking(note that this maybe a little biased since I am a Vikings fan). After Favre hit Shianco. Brooking went over to the Vikings bench and started yelling at Farve and Vikings coach Brad Childress. After the game he said the the Vikings decision to throw was "Classless". Ok just to let Keith Brooking know he is in the NFL. Now the NFL is not Pop Warner, High School, or College football. Maybe Brooking and the other Cowboy defenders should have kept playing and stopped Favre from throwing another TD. Now he just needs to take it like a man.
