The Wait is Over

So after 15 years of misery and anguish the Orioles have a winning record and are going to the playoffs. The last time the Orioles were in the playoffs I was really young, I don't even remember the last time the O's were in the playoffs. So thanks to the new wild card format the O's are back in the postseason for the first time in 15 years. Just saying but it feels good to be a fan of a relevant team in baseball.

Game #5 Vs Lynchburg Patriots

Game #4 vs Chattanooga Patriots

Yo my people,
Just got back from the Vines Center and came back victorious. CVHAA beat the other patriots by about 20. So now we play tomorrow at 3:30 vs the winner of Front Royal/Lynchburg in the Vines Center for the HSPN Championship.

Game #3 vs Upstate Eagles

Wassup people,
CVHAA won again today 80-36 over the Upstate Eagles from South Carolina. Not sure when or who we play tonight but it will either be at 8:30 or 10:00 at the Vines Center, home of the Liberty Flames men and womens basketball teams. Hopefully we can get over the hump that has derailed us the last 2 years.

Game #2 vs Tenneesee Heat

What up peeps,
Just got back from our 8:00 game that started at 9 or 9:30. We won this game by 30. Not sure what the score was but we were close to 70 or just below and they were around 40 or just below. Everyone had a good all around game again. We don't play again until tomorrow at 2:00 and then not until 8:30 or 10:00.

HSPN Game #1 vs Forsyth

Sup my people,
Just finished up playing some disc golf at the LU course. Course was kind of hilly. Basically built on the side of a mountain. We up for the first 9-10 holes and then everything was down hill from there. Shot a 73 on a  par 59 course, pretty happy for the first time being on that course. Now down to basketball. We won today vs Forsyth Hawks 72-43. We had 4 scorers in double figures, so that is a good all around game from a scoring standpoint. Defence and balanced a scoring attack is what we need to win this tournament. Next game is at 8:00 tonight vs. the Tennessee Heat.

Last Week of Basketball

Tonight will be the last practice of the year and career for some seniors on the CVHAA Patriots. In a couple of days we will be going to Lynchburg for the HSPN East Coast Basketball Championships. This will be the last week of basketball for me, but not for the other Patriots as they will be headed off to Missouri for the National Homeschool Basketball Tournament. Going in to HSPN the Patriots are 28-9 with repeat championships in the VCAA and VHSAA tournaments. However our real prize this year is HSPN. After finishing 3rd two straight years its time for us to break through and win the whole thing. Look for updates about HSPN starting Thursday afternoon.

Basketball Update

So here is a little update about the CVHAA Basketball team. We are now 15-6 going into the biggest week of the season so far this year. This week we play Albamarle Christian Homeschool out of Charlottesville on Monday then we play Evangel Christian on Thursday and then we go down to Brunswick on Friday. The Evangel game is going to put the winner in the drivers seat for 1st place in the VCAA. Almost forgot we went 3-2 in our 5 games before Christmas and after Christmas we placed 5th in the Brunswick Holiday Tournament and then we won the Steward Invitational after New Years. So thats a quick update on CVHAA basketball. Only 7 weeks and 5 days until the biggest tournament of the year for us, HSPN.
